Jonathan Lee was born on April 26th 1982.
From a young age Jon showed alot of interest in acting, having played the lead in the musical “Oliver” at the age of 13, As he grew older and just prior to joining S Club 7 Jon played a role in EastEnders and The Famous Five. Jon joined S Club 7 in 1998 and stayed with the band through-out the duration.
After the demise of the S Club Jon played Marius in Les Misérables from 2003-2004. In 2005, Lee toured the UK in a brand new musical, Love Shack featuring disco classics and hit dance songs from the charts. In 2006 Jon Starred in The Heathers brother production of Teen Scream. Throughout 2008 and 2009 Jon took the lead in Peter Pan.
In 2008 Jon came clean in “Gay Times” magazine, with a sexy shoot revealing he was a homosexual. Claiming that he never hid it from fans, managment, friends, or co-workers but it’s the simple fact of nobody asking.
Also in 2009 Jon also appeared in Telestar which tells the story of record producer Joe Meek, the songwriter-producer behind a string of hit songs in the 1960’s. The movie touchs on his homosexuality which was illegal in the UK at the time, and his struggles with debt, paranoia and depression which culminated in the murder of his landlady and his suicide in 1967. Over Christmas 2009 Jon played Prince Charming in Cinderella and most recently took the lead role as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys.
